Gesture Lock/Facelock/Freeze Gestures Script

Move your hands without changing your facial expression!!!

This script allows for the easy setup of a gesture lock on any avatar that still allows you to move your hands without letting your facial expression change.

This is intended for users without individual finger tracking (Ex: Quest, Pico and NOT Index)

Note for older avatars: this script only iterates through the FX Layer. If your avatar has expression animations on it's Gesture Layer, this won't work. This is usually not the case however.

Steps to use (No VRCFury):

1 - Select your avatar in the hierarchy

2 - Go on Tools/TimothySoup and click Add Gesture Lock Toggle

3 - Use the example menu or make your own toggle using the ~Soup_FaceLock~ Parameter.

Steps to use (With VRCFury):

VRCFury now comes with a lock gestures toggle action! It's different from this script though. This one keeps the gesture you had when you turned on the Gesture Lock toggle, however VRCFury's always sets your face to be the default expression. If you want to keep your eyes closed this script is best!

1 - Select your avatar in the hierarchy

2 - Go on Tools/TimothySoup and click Add Gesture Lock Toggle

3 - Drag the Gesture Lock prefab into the root of your avatar.
